Joseph R. Lobb

Joseph R. Lobb is the founding attorney of previously named Joseph R. Lobb, P.C., which is now known as The Lobb Law Firm. Mr. Lobb practices in the areas of personal injury, automobile accidents, wrongful death, products liability and worker’s compensation.  He has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts. He has successfully tried numerous cases to juries in his career and has successfully argued appeals.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Lobb has been named one of Detroit’s Top Attorneys by DB Business. He is also AVVO rated and AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Lobb received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his law degree, cum laude (with honors), from the Detroit College of Law. He has been representing his clients from the plaintiff side of litigation for over 30 years. In his free time he enjoys traveling and cooking.


Cherie Lobb

Cherie Lobb joined the law firm in 2003 after moving back from New York City. Cherie graduated with a dual degree in Sociology and Psychology from Western Michigan University and earned a law degree from Michigan State University in 1999.  She aggressively represents injured people and their families in car accidents, social security claims, workers compensation claims, and medical provider litigation.  She has a vast knowledge of insurance matters such as no-fault, underinsured and uninsured motorist coverage, motorcycle  accidents and insurance bad faith.  Cherie is AVVO rated and a member of the Michigan Association of Justice. Cherie is passionate about practicing law and truly enjoys helping all of her clients through the legal process and fight for her clients to receive the benefits they deserve.

Daniel A Groves

Daniel A. Groves is an associate attorney at The Lobb Law Firm since 2012. Mr. Groves graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 2005 with a degree in Philosophy/Pre-Law and where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor’s Society, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Program, and graduated summa cum laude.  Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009.  His areas of legal concentration are in litigation, personal injury, family law, criminal prosecution, and commercial breach of contract.  Prior to obtaining his degrees, Daniel served in the United State Marine Corps. and was awarded with an Honorable Discharge.  Before going into civil law practice, Daniel spent nearly two years with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office in the juvenile justice division, elderly abuse and embezzlement division, and with the arson unit.  Believing that our future’s most important asset is our children, Daniel continues to be a volunteer for the Wayne County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) for displaced kids, foster children, & abused and neglected children.  He has been a Red Cross blood donor/volunteer for nearly three decades.  Daniel is an aggressive litigator when it comes to the law, but is also very personable, open, communicative, and has a lively sense of humor.  When not representing his clients of the Lobb Law Firm, he is also a chess aficionado who is always welcoming of a new challenger.



Matthew S. Cohn

Matthew S. Cohn graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Mr. Cohn later attended the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law where he graduated with a specialization in litigation. While at Cooley, Mr. Cohn and his partner won Cooley’s moot court competition and the judges awarded Mr. Cohn as Best Advocate. He also received his LL.M. in Taxation from Cooley. Mr. Cohn's true passion is to fight for the rights of injured victims in automobile accidents as a member of The Lobb Law Firm. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, running in race, and going to Ford Field to root for his favorite team, the Detroit Lions.
